"A Morning Wedding"
"Miss Mary McLaughlin and John F. Flanagan joined in Wedlock Thursday."
"Miss Mary E. McLaughlin and Mr. John F. Flanagan were united in marriage on Thursday (September 1, 1904) morning at 11 o'clock at the Catholic Church (St. John the Baptist). The ceremony was performed by Rev. M. D. Slattery of San Francisco in the presence of relatives and intimate friends of the happy couple. After the ceremony a sumptous wedding breakfast was served at the McLaughlin home on Jackson Street. The bride is the fair and accomplished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. McLaughlin. The groom is a popular energetic young man who has lived in this city for a number of years. The happy couple left on the 4 o'clock train Thursday afternoon for a brief wedding trip to points of interest. The best wishes of many friends go with them on their journey through life. Upon their return to Napa Mr. and Mrs. Flanagan will reside on Stockton Street in a comfortable home which the groom has fitted for his bride."
